Underage DUI Arrest Video: 19-Year-Old Girl Tries Fake ID
DUI ARREST VIDEO: WOMAN BACKS INTO POLICE CAR, THEN KICKS OFFICER | POLICE FULL BODYCAM
Underage DUI Arrest Video – In the early morning hours of September 4, 2022, Boca Raton police officers witnessed a 2019 Hyundai driving erratically along West Yamato Road. The vehicle was swerving within its lane and nearly hit the curb multiple times. Given the hour—just after 3:30 AM—and the vehicle’s behavior, the officer initiated a traffic stop to determine the condition of the driver.
The Hyundai eventually came to a stop, but not before backing into the patrol car behind it—a clear sign that something was seriously wrong. The collision, although minor, escalated the situation dramatically. Officers approached the vehicle with heightened caution, unsure whether the act was accidental or intentional. The entire interaction was recorded via official police bodycam, offering a transparent, uncut look into the unfolding events.
As officers made contact with the driver, they found 19-year-old Sayda Coleman behind the wheel. She appeared visibly disoriented, with slurred speech and watery eyes. Despite denying that she had consumed alcohol, the signs of impairment were becoming impossible to ignore.
FAKE ID AND THE ZERO TOLERANCE DUI LAW
Sayda initially told officers she was 21 years old, attempting to deflect suspicion and avoid further investigation. However, when she handed over her Virginia driver’s license, the system failed to recognize it as valid. Officers quickly suspected the license was fake—raising additional concerns of underage drinking and identity fraud.
Adding to the suspicion, officers observed a nightclub wristband on Sayda’s arm. This, combined with the fake ID and the strong odor of alcohol emanating from her vehicle, suggested she had recently been at a bar or nightclub. Officers asked Sayda to exit the vehicle and submit to field sobriety tests. Her reactions, body language, and statements were all captured on full police bodycam video.
Florida’s Zero Tolerance DUI law for drivers under 21 sets the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit at just 0.02%. This is far stricter than the 0.08% limit for drivers over 21. Even one or two drinks could put a minor well above the legal threshold—making any amount of alcohol a serious offense for underage drivers.
At this point, Sayda’s underage status, the likely use of a fake ID, and her impaired behavior were stacking up to become a significant legal problem.
FIELD SOBRIETY TESTS CAUGHT ON BODYCAM
Officers administered a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), which are commonly used by law enforcement to assess driver impairment in DUI cases. These included:
Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) – The officer looked for involuntary eye movement while Sayda attempted to follow a pen with her eyes.
Walk and Turn Test – Sayda struggled to maintain balance, failed to walk heel-to-toe, and had difficulty turning.
One-Leg Stand Test – She could not maintain her balance, repeatedly putting her foot down and using her arms to steady herself.
Each failed test added to the mounting probable cause for a DUI arrest. Sayda’s responses ranged from defiant to emotional, including slurred excuses and inconsistent answers—all recorded on the full bodycam footage.
Despite her erratic behavior, officers maintained a calm, professional demeanor, providing clear instructions and giving Sayda multiple opportunities to comply. When she continued to fail each test, officers placed her under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
BREATHALYZER RESULTS AND VIOLENT OUTBURST
At the station, Sayda was offered the opportunity to take a breathalyzer test. Unlike many DUI suspects who refuse the test, she agreed—likely in hopes of proving her innocence. The results, however, told a different story.
Her Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) measured 0.166%, which is more than twice the legal limit for adult drivers, and over eight times the allowable limit for a driver under 21 in Florida. This confirmed that Sayda had not only been drinking underage, but was significantly impaired behind the wheel.
When confronted with the results, Sayda’s behavior escalated. As officers prepared to transport her, she began shouting and became combative. In a shocking moment captured on the bodycam, Sayda kicked one of the officers during the booking process. The incident turned a DUI arrest into a far more serious case involving battery on a law enforcement officer.
LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF UNDERAGE DUI AND FAKE ID
Sayda was charged with the following offenses:
Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
Possession of a Fake ID
Violation of Florida’s Zero Tolerance Law
Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
She was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, where she was held for the mandatory 8-hour hold period under Florida DUI law. Her driver’s license was automatically suspended for 12 months due to the refusal of a valid license and her high BAC.
Even for a first-time offender, DUI charges carry serious consequences. For underage drivers, the penalties can be life-changing. A DUI on record at age 19 can affect college admissions, financial aid, job opportunities, and more.
Additionally, being caught with a fake ID opens the door to identity fraud and forgery charges, especially if the ID is from another state or country. These offenses can also lead to federal-level scrutiny, particularly if the ID was created or purchased online.
PUBLIC IMPACT AND A LESSON FOR YOUNG DRIVERS
This incident, captured in full on police bodycam, serves as a clear warning about the risks and realities of impaired driving. Many underage drivers falsely believe that using a fake ID and “acting sober” is enough to avoid detection. But trained officers are taught to look for visual cues, motor coordination, and verbal inconsistencies—all of which Sayda displayed during the stop.
The moment she backed into the police cruiser sealed the trajectory of the traffic stop. What could have been a routine citation or even a warning escalated into multiple criminal charges and a lasting criminal record.
Police bodycam footage provides an unfiltered, real-time view into law enforcement encounters. These videos not only serve as evidence but also as public education tools, showing how quickly a series of poor decisions can spiral into serious legal trouble.
WHY REAL BODYCAM VIDEOS MATTER
The full video of this DUI arrest—including the traffic stop, field sobriety tests, arrest, and post-arrest behavior—has become a compelling piece of evidence in educating the public on DUI enforcement. Bodycam videos like this aren’t dramatized or edited; they show the reality of what officers deal with every night.
The goal is not humiliation—it’s awareness. When people see these videos, they begin to understand the seriousness of driving under the influence, using fake IDs, and resisting arrest. For young adults, especially college students, this video sends a powerful message:
The cost of one bad decision behind the wheel can follow you for life.
